PercaDu is a world class Israeli percussion duo that has already generated worldwide interest and enthusiasm through their unique style of virtuoso, energetic and intense playing.
Tomer & Adi (graduates of the soloist class of the
Royal
Danish
Academy of music,
Copenhagen) met in Alon Bor's teaching studio and together they established PercaDu in 1996.
These days, the ensemble is dividing its activities between Israel and tours in Europe, the US and the Far East playing recitals and as soloists with orchestras, including celebrated orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, L.A Philharmonic Orchestra, Munich Bavarian State Orchestra, Tel Aviv Soloists Ensemble, playing in festivals such as the Verbier Festival, Salzburg Festival, Israel Festival (3 times), Reykjavik Arts Festival, TIPC Festival in Taiwan, Kaunass Jazz Festival, Red Sea Jazz Festival, Introvert Music Festival and more, and conducting master classes in universities around the world including Julliard School of music, NY.
Further activities include composing original music for Equus (a play by Peter Shafer), collaborating with Dance Companies, playing projects with choirs and varied top musicians such as Zubin Mehta, Pierre Boulez, Marin Alsop and many others.
Since forming the ensemble, PercaDu have won several prizes:

Competition,

+ First prize as "Best Chamber Music Ensemble" at the Aviv
Music Competitions.
+ Chosen Artists by the
Israel Culture Excellence
Foundation (IcExcellence).
+ Jury prize and the Audience Prize at the International
Percussion Competition,
Luxembourg.

Israel's Minister of Culture Prize for Excellency in Music.
+ First Prize at the
Tel-Aviv
Academy of Music Chamber
Music Competition.
+ Winners of
America – Israel Cultural Foundation scholarships both as
soloists as well as a duo since 1993.
+ The "Landau Prize" for outstanding culture contribution in
Israel.
