Israel's population of 7 million people, immigrants from 80 different countries of all five continents, creates a cultural melting pot which brings out magical combinations of music.
Percussion is also the best instrument to represent different world cultures, folk music colors and musical styles. The world's variety of drums, cymbals, gongs, marimbas, vibraphone, bongos, congas, bells, darbuka, djembe and so many other instruments in the kingdom of percussion creates most of PercaDu's repertoire.
Some of our repertoire was written especially for PercaDu by Israeli and international composers and some were written for the percussion scene in general throughout the years.
As a result, PercaDu repertoire consists of compositions especially from
Israel but also from
Iceland,
Denmark, the U.S,
Australia,
Japan,
Brazil,
Argentina,
Germany,
Austria,
Russia, and other places.
